Obama v. McCain, Part 1

I just watched the first debate between Obama and McCain via a file I downloaded P2P. (Note: It was interesting to see how many people were seeding that particular file: either a lot of people missed it or there are people all over the world who are interested.)

I thought I would Wordle the responses. I’ve only taken the larger portions of text from the CNN transcript so this represents only about 93% of their actual words:

    Very cool use of the tool. What if you took this into a current affairs class and didn’t tell students which Wordle belonged to which candidate? That could be a interesting discussion. :)

    A fantastic idea Jeff! Looking back at both of them, I would have a hard time deciding whose was whose. I guess that means that neither of them really had a consistent message. I hope I can do it with the VP debate coming up. How prominent is ‘hockey’ and ‘Russia’ going to be???
