   Well done. Basically, you can’t argue against the meat of it. That is, there are useful tools that can be used to enhance the learning process…tools that offer additional ways to “connect”, “communicate”, and “collaborate”. Of course, convenience is a valid plus but should be seen as the lesser of several goods.

   The only criticism I have of the video is the in your face branding. Blogs, wikis, RSS, photo hosting, VoIP, etc…are generic terms that avoid Google Reader, Flickr, Skype, Facebook, etc. For example, the loftier goal is really to have students *get* the value of RSS, not use Google Reader in particular.

   Thanks for your comments Peter. I hear what you are saying about the branding. At the same time, if I say VoIP people won’t necessarily know what I’m talking about: Skype has become the de facto unit of measure (IMO) much like Coke and Kleenex.

   If I had a second chance, and more than one minute, what might make this presentation better would be if those brand names morphed into the generic terms. This would allow people who only recognize the brand and not the technology. Or, under each generic term, connect a few different brands to show that they are really, in essence, all the same…
